The 325-24T (model AL2012E45) also is marketed in a 48 port version. This product is the low end entry product for the Nortel ethernet data switching line. It is a non-stackable managed switch. It competes with the Netgear FSM726 24 port switch that is also available in both a stackable and a 48 port version (FSM726S and FSM750S). The Netgear products are strong competitors in this part of the Nortel line. One would purchase the Nortel data switch to maintain vendor consistency or if it is desired to have a slightly more commercial grade switch.
